This is a large log store that is supplied as a self-assembly kit, complete with fixings and step-by-step pictorial instructions. It arrives in four packs weighing around 180kg overall. The carrier will need assistance with unloading.

The Classic A2 is designed to stack three rows of 25cm (10”) logs. This log length seems to suit a wide variety of fire grates and log-burning stoves. The stacking volume is 2.66 cubic metres (95 cubic feet) which, is the logs are well-stacked, is roughly equivalent to 4 cubic metres of logs delivered loose. This is equivalent to the contents of about four randomly filled builder's dump bags.

The Classic A2 is made from Western red cedar on a Douglas fir frame. It is made for us using timber grown in the UK but does not necessarily come from a source that has been certified as sustainable.

The external dimensions of the Classic A2 two-bay log store are (click on diagram to enlarge)

  • Height 180cm (71”)
  • Depth (from front to back) 80cm (32”); with roof overhang 95cm (37.5”)

The frame and panelling is made of 2.5cm (1”) boards. The frame is made of Douglas fir while the panelling and roof is made of Western red cedar.

The log store will arrive in four packs weighing around 180kg, although no single pack is more than 60kg. It is likely that the carrier's driver will request assistance to unload. The packs can be unwrapped to take the individual pieces to the intended site.
